WORK PACKAGES

To achieve REZBUILD’s main goal, as well as its specific objectives, the work plan is divided in 10 Work Packages. Besides the cross-cutting Work Packages, i.e. WP10 dedicated to project management, there are four main groups of Work Packages.

WP1 DEFINITION OF REFURBISHMENT METHODOLOGY, REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS

Lead beneficiary: VIAS

The aim of this WP is to define the common framework data and standard operating procedures in terms of requirements, specifications and methodology that should lead the development of the holistic integrated APM tools. Needs & standards in terms of project assessment, communications between stakeholders, decision making processes, reporting and metrics will be defined, in order to assure common approaches and coordination between the development of WP2 & WP3 since the very first moment, as to increase  the interaction between participants and enhancing decision-making.

WP2 ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES FOR HOUSING RENOVATION

Lead beneficiary: CARTIF

The main objective of this WP is the development of a set of cost-effective, systematic and low-intrusive and integrated retrofitting technologies and processes. Final achieved performance & quality of the proposed technologies, reproducibility of the process and economic factors are some of the main performance indicators for this work package. REZBUILD Consortium is aware of the results achieved in previous European projects and recognizes these achievements as a fundamental step from which REZBUILD will start.

WP3 COLLABORATIVE REFURBISHMENT ECOSYSTEM BASED ON AGILE PROJECT MANAGEMENT TOOLS

Lead beneficiary: ESTIA

The main objectives of this Work Package are:
Developing computer models for the optimisation of each technology and combination of technologies for each type of building;  Developing a computer model for a dynamic simulation of energy demand and supply of residential buildings; Developing a computer model for the simulation of the indoor environment in residential buildings; Developing a control strategy for optimum operation of technologies and solutions; Modelling the socio-economic aspects of retrofitting of residential buildings;  LCA; Integration of OpenBIM files;  Developing Refurbishment Ecosystem and complementary front-ends.

WP4 DEMONSTRATION

Lead beneficiary: VIAS

The main goal of this work package is to apply the decision making tools to select the best pool of technologies for each demo-site, and then implement and validate the solutions on 3 full-scale scenarios. Refurbishment will be carried out with the minimum disruption to the occupants.

WP5 MONITORING & COMMISSIONING

Lead beneficiary: OVERDI

The main objectives of WP5 are: To support the selection of the implemented solutions for each demo to carry out the eco-design of demos 1, 2 and 3; To quantify the environmental and economical benefits derived from the refurbishment of the real estate of demos 1, 2 and 3.

WP5 will integrate data acquisition and processing elements and protocols that will address the needs of the overall system in order to cover the requirements identified in WP3&4. These data acquisition, processing components and modules include heterogeneity of variables to monitor and process, Multiple communication infrastructures, Communication protocols and Real time data processing given the IoT cloud platform in WP6.

WP6 PROFITABILITY ANALYSIS AND INVESTMENT MODEL DEFINITION

 Lead beneficiary: OVERDI

The main objectives of WP6 are: To carry out the profitability analysis for each solution with the aim of obtaining a maximum payback time for the solution of 15 years; To define new business models to support and accelerate the refurbishment of the demos, based on collaborative refurbishment eco-system and innovative construction solution.

WP7 REPLICABILITY AND IMPACT ASSESSMENT

Lead beneficiary: SINTEF

It is fundamental for the impact of the project to be evaluated and that achievements are replicable for a wider use in the construction sector and other related sectors. The main objective of WP7 is to provide evidence of the impact of REZBUILD actions and establish a roadmap for a further use of the technologies and processes developed.

WP8 DISSEMINATION, COMMUNICATION, TRAINING, SOCIAL ASSESMENT AND ETHICS

 Lead beneficiary: ZABALA

The main aim of WP8 is to implement the dissemination, communication and training strategies integrated within the PEDR. PEDR will be updated according to the status of development of the project and will consider the progress in the definition of the exploitation plan. Training and education activities customised to end-users, together with research organizations needs will also be addressed. This WP also includes tasks dedicated to the engagement of end-user, focused on awareness and acceptance as main goals, and dedicated to ethical and social issues related to the project.

WP9 EXPLOITATION, IPR AND STANDARDIZATION

 Lead beneficiary: ZABALA

The main objective of WP9 is to establish the main pillars for a wide penetration of international markets in the long term, considered priority of the products/services portfolio developed in REZBUILD project according to the strategy defined in PDER.

WP10 PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Lead beneficiary: OVERDI

The aim of this WP is to adequately coordinate and organize the project at strategic level, ensuring: project follow-up (project progress control and planning); continuous update of the project status to the commission officers; decision making procedures and suitable project administration.
